I had Michelin XGT H4's on a e30 318i with LSD. Much lighter car than a 735, of course. They proved to be barely adequate in snow and unmanagable on ice with the LSD. After a sudden shunt off of the freeway and into a deep ravine one icy morning, I bought winter tires.

BTW, I destroyed one of these tires against a road hazard two summers ago and had an awful time finding a replacement. I was told that this model of Michelin was no longer made. Where are you finding these still for sale?
