5-7 years is a good average figure for a premium brand battery. If you have not looked at it, or better in it in the last six months ist abot time. Check the acid level and replenish to whatever indicator marks are in the battery. Use distilled water, no tap water. Otherwise 2 years is not unusual, Ekkehart
