Its quite easy but the battery is a tight fit and there's not much room. The biggest pain is getting the back seat base out particularly if its power. The manual doesn't cover it in detail but you have to remove the seat belt shroud which is pretty tricky to get to the seat belt anchor bolts.

Points to remember are:
Check the fault readout before disconnecting the battery as this will erase all stored faults.
DO NOT lock the car while the lock relays are powered down - ten to one the deadlock will trip and then you have to break in.
