But the new type of waterpump does NOT have any kind of bleeding screw, instead it is connected to the tubing I mentioned that automatically bleeds the system. One just had to fill it rather slowly so that the system has time to blow the air out of the way of the water/coolant.

I just installed this a month ago and on mine (1990 750i) the pump was already the "new" kind with the small tube connecting via a t-piece to the radiator bleeding tube (yes the radiator is automatically bleeding on ALL e32s).

How would you bleed a new type of system??? The kind that doesn't come with a bleeding screw?
