Cleaning DK motors? (archive)

After looking through the archives at info about the PCV valve, someone questioned about cleaning the DK motors regularly.....how is this done and what do you use?

Also, fuel consumption has dropped 5 mpg in the last month....could this be caused by bad O2 sensor(s)? It is on a 88 750iL with 145,000 on it. I don't know when the sensors were last changed. It is on my list to do in the next month or so but might have to step up in priority shortly.
