I just found coolant coming out from the head gasket. Does anyone have an idea of what this owuld cost to have fix by a certified mech or the stealer. I was just great to find this upon returning from vacation. My wife is encouraging me to sell the car because I've had too many things go wrong in the five months I've owned it. In five monthsI've replaced:

2 interior door light lense
cap fix but have to do it again
seat twist is on the list
bought floor mats and a Bentley Manual
had wheels balanced for shimmy

Is that too much in five months? She wants me to sell it and get some other used car.

All depends where you're coming from! Me,I'd sell the wife!!(BUT THEN AGAIN THATS ME!!)

Are you technically minded? Have access to a garage/tools etc? If you are thats a "Head" start!
(Excuse the pun!!) I've done this alreadyand over here (UK) Prices vary can cost between £500 - £1000 depending on the type of mechanic used (Is there such a thing as a good one??) One thing to bare In mind is that if you opt to do this yourself - the head is DAMN HEAVY!! but it can be done, make sure that there are plenty of willing hands and Coffe on Tap as it's a long job but once done you won't regret it!

Mine has had:-

Cylinder head gasket done!
New Rocker Gear
Air Flow Meter
Rear Shocks
Rear Bushes (2)
Front Strut tops (2)
Dashboard Repair (2)
Doorlock repair
Exhaust
Discs/pads All round (Rotors)
Regular servicing
Auto box Servicing
New front Wings

All to name a few - So it's how do you want to play it?

Regards
Dave M
