I found that my head bolts had loosened over the last 12 years. I torqued them down using the method of stopping if you hit 65 ft.lb. if it broke loose before the 65 ft.lb. you torque to 85 ft.lb. After that was done, I found a place of interest about 50 miles away, poured a capsule of Barrs Leak crystals into the reservoir tank, filled with antifreeze, screwed cap on real tight and went for the ride. Hasn't leaked since. I am waiting to change the Antifreeze to see if the leak comes back.Tom 1988 735i 10,000 miles on Barrs Leak
It is recommended that if you choose to use some form of rad sealer, that the "Sealer" be of Fluidic Consistancy i.e No particles in it! Once installed, these particles can play havoc with the heater valves...Been there, seen it, Done it....Won't Do it again!!!
Just A Caution.......
