These sealants use 'clay-like' particles that are not particular about where in the cooling passages they settle and aggregate. This may be fine for cast iron components, but the potential for hot spots on aluminum heads is very real. In my experience these sealants are difficult to flush out of an infected system. This staying power is a part of their intended sealing job.

The detection of such sediments in the coolant tank lead to immediate rejection in my used car purchase inspections.
