Adrian,

You may find that you have turn the key just a little bit further past the #2 spot right to the point where you hear a click . . . but right before you start to turn the car over. It's right after that click, that you will need to do the thrillerator push. The Check EngineLight will begin to flash at you.

You'll probably want a pencil and paper handy to record what it says -- it can be easy to get lost in the blinking. One example it might give you would be: BLINK BLINK pause BLINK BLINK BLINK BLINK pause BLINK BLINK BLINK BLINK pause BLINK BLINK BLINK BLINK
This would translate to = 1444, which is the code for "Everthing's fine".

Jason F.

Sorry for the stupid question but how can you read a code without the reset/code reader tool?

Turn the key to the number 2 position and push the exhilarator all the way to the floor 5 times in quick succession. The check engine light should blink out a four digit number, starting with two for a 750, I believe. Bentley has a list of all the codes. On my 89 735, the code repeats indefinately, although Bentley says it will run all the stored codes, then a code that signifies it is finished. Mine does not seem to do this.
