I am about to upgrade the original speakers in my 1987 735i for something a little more modern. I like the arrangement of having 3-way splits up front and 2-way splits in the back, so would like to keep this arrangement. I'd like any advice from anyone who has replaced there speakers. At the present I have a Kenwood radio/casette and CD stacker (no amp), but am thinking about getting a newer / better head unit, most likely a Blaupunkt of some sort. I would like to avoud having to put subwoofers and amps in the system and clutter up my boot. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

152,500kmRemoved all original speakers, amplifier (Alpine 10-way shit) and radio, also cut all old wires to speakers, radio and amplifier.
Fitted Nakamichi CD player, Helix amplifier, Helix 2-way front speakers, Helix 2-way rear speakers. Much much better sound.
