Someone needs to talk me back into this car. I was going to trade my 735 for it...1990 750il w/150K $7900. But after driving it...not sure.

It's solid and quiet, and it feels a lot like my 735, but it is not that much quicker than my big 6. Snapper and raspier, yes. Pulls harder, yes. But it's also not as nimble (feels heavier). It's playground is pure mid-range. Low end has nothing, runs out of steam up high. Is this normal? Is something up with it mechanically? It just didn't feel like 300hp to me.

Compared to my 6, I'm doubtful of how much more the 12 has to offer other than clout and high(er) repair costs. What should I do.....hmmmm

You will not feel much difference in cruising around the town even less nimble and slower. Try freeway doing about 65-70 and step on it to pass Porsche and keep up the speed. It is like hockey puck sliding on a ice link. No sound smooth as hell and very quick acceleration. Driving 75-80mph for about 150miles, you will feel you are going 40mph.
