Just my $.02 Ive driven 750's and 740's of the early 90's and yes there is a performance increase at speeds 70+ but the question I would ask myself is does it perform enough better than the 735 to justify the cost, and maintanence cost difference. There is a lot to be said for knowing your car and you could be buying someone else's head ache. I personally would not trade my 735 for an equivalent 750 it's just not that much better. I like the handling of my seven and besides even here in Montana I don't get into the triple digits that often. There's something about spending the night with a room mate named Bubba that just dosen't appeal to me. Now on the other hand If I did'nt already have a good reliable 735 I'd buy the 750 in a heart beat because no matter how you look at it ,or how you power it the E32 is one of the finest cars on the road anywhere new or old.

Someone needs to talk me back into this car. I was going to trade my 735 for it...1990 750il w/150K $7900. But after driving it...not sure.

It's solid and quiet, and it feels a lot like my 735, but it is not that much quicker than my big 6. Snapper and raspier, yes. Pulls harder, yes. But it's also not as nimble (feels heavier). It's playground is pure mid-range. Low end has nothing, runs out of steam up high. Is this normal? Is something up with it mechanically? It just didn't feel like 300hp to me.

Compared to my 6, I'm doubtful of how much more the 12 has to offer other than clout and high(er) repair costs. What should I do.....hmmmm
