Just my 0.02. I think it all depends on what your are willing to accept. The main considerations are offset, O.D., tire width, and sidewall height. The offset must be correct for tire width so major body work will not be necessary. The stock 225-60-15 has a sidewall of about 5.32", a 245-45-17 is about 4.34", a 235-40-18 is about 3.7", but 225-35-19 is only about 3.1". Seems to me that that is not much sidewall for a 5200 lb car. Now if you only drive on smooth surfaces and don't mind giving up ride comfort, then the 19"s may be an option. I looked at the 18" option but settled on 245-45-17 on 17 x 8.5 as a compromise of a lower profile, +2, better handling, ride comfort, and sidewall height. Bigger may look better to some but may not be better for your car in the long run. If you hit an unsuspected pothole, any you run out of sidewall, how much will it cost??
