I'm about ready to do mine as well, I've narrowed it down to either Mintex Red or PBR deluxe. Here's a couple recent posts, for about 1/4 the cost your dealer quoted:

I need to replace both front and rear pads on my '92 735. After visiting the dealer, I thought twice about the BMW pads. $195!

I have seen several other types available. I had Metal Masters on a 325, and it seemed like you real had to step on the brake, compared to the BMW pads, to stop.

Can anyone make any suggestions?

Thanks,
Paul
