I have

1) had new cam
2) changed all bretaher pipes
3) new coolant temp sensor
4) new injector o seals
5) checked compression (fine)
6) checked for air leaks
7) checked Air flow meter and idle valve
8) checked all spark plugs and leads
Still has exactly the same symptoms as you describe..

just learn to live with it!

yeah, another rough idle question... My '87 730,116k has developed a really annoying habit of idling poorly if left for any length of time when hot, eg waiting at junctions etc. oing thru town. Problem stays continuously until revs increase above c.2500 when you can feel the engine smoothing out, thereafter everythings ok, engine pulls fine. Any ideas ? Thinking of handing it to a 'specialist' but I've had some poor experience of these people..

By the way, just found your forum after 6 months of struggling with this car - you've saved a fortune in time and money - thanks all!!!
