I went to the BMW Dealership about all the problems I have posted on my 735i 1988 while they had the car it jumped in mileage and language and the seats moved and now won't move at all.

They had the car plugged in for a hour and told me for $70.00 that NO CODES came up! After they called BMW - they came back in and said me need to replace the coding plug - $350.00 plus installation - $70 -$100.00. They did give me for my time and money a new distrib cap which was on recall.

Does anyone know where we can buy one of these and not have to deal with the dealership! They basically were no help at dia-o and did not have any answers nor did they seem to want to find them for an older BMW
