Take off the wheel and check the bottom of the strut - if you've got LAD you'll have hoses going into the strut. That easy.

If it's still sagging I'd personally say you probably need to start looking at new rear strut units at the least - they do give a degree of resistance to the downforce of the car weight, and even if it's something else, they're likely to be of an age to be worth getting right along with the rest. Also, they should always be done in pairs to preserve the side-to-side geometry.



So, on my 1990 750iL, does it have (should it have) a self leveling rear suspension? My back left is dipping slightly from the other side (approx 2 inches). Do you think that I need a new strut?
