my transmission is leaking a milk shake color fluid I thinking the water is getting on my transmission the anyone knows why and how to fixed

My 1994 e32 740 doesn't have a dipstick. To check the fluid level the engine must be running and either in gear or in neutral, I would assume the latter. If you open the plug for the tranny without the engine running, much of the expensive life time fluid ($300??) will run out in your face. The level is checked by filling until it won't hold more from the bottom while the engine is running.
