I bought my car with a broken CD changer but I'll be getting a replacement next week. Is the skipping inherent in the Pioneer model? If so, I'll be real intereste in that simple fix you have.

I hade the similar problem on my 91 750iL (same Pioneer unit) for 2 years. When my patience was exhausted I invested 2 h and repaired it by inserting a small washer in a proper location. Works perfect since. Let me know if you need more info. Just my $0.02.

Because of the Basterd who took my money and never sent me the CD changer, I might have to repair mine or purchase good refurbished unit. Does anybody know a good source to either repair or buy? I have 91 750IL with Pioneer unit in the trunk which skips like hell.
Thanks for your help.
