Radio DEAD! Please HELP!! (archive)

I was on a fairly long trip (3.5 Hours) last week in the miserably hot weather we've been having, and I noticed my radio read out (station 95.5, etc.) was getting dim near
the end of my trip. I turned the car off and had to go out 5 minutes later, and CODE appeared. I unsuccessfuly tried to put the code in. I then let the radio sit for an
hour. When I came back it appeared to be dead. No read out, power, etc.

I have since checked the fuse under the hood (OK), and the fuse behind the radio (OK).

Now I am at a loss, any ideas???
