It is NOT necessary to remove the plastic cover. The belt anchor bolt can be accessed from the gap between the seat bottom and seat back when the seat bottom is fully extended. Requires a u-joint on the socket extension.

Yes Brian is correct.
I broke my left one off, but saved the right one. My hands are too big to fiddle around so... well some force was applied to the left one ;)
