A home-built probe has been posted on the board before, maybe a year or so ago but I can't find it anywhere. As I recall, it was a thermistor epoxied inside a 1/4" copper tube. No clue as to what value it would be & what if any other components went with it. I'll keep searching. I think the stealer gets $40 or $50 for them.
