I have a similar problem at between 50-60 mph. I balanced the wheels several times to no avail. Last night while checking balance again I spun rims on balancer to find it bent a little. I have 2 88 735i's All ten bottle cap (stock) rims had some kind of slight bend 10 out of 10! I think the aluminum rims bend when hitting pot holes. Both my cars are from NYC which probably expains it. I am going to buy a set of basket BBS type wheels next. Incidentally Swiching from front to back rims helped considerably.

I have a bad wobble in the front wheels at 2500-3000rpm /45-50mph uphill in certain curves and on certain surfaces.
Have replaced upper and lower control arms, bushings, tie-rods. New rims and tires (balanced of course) and still wobble. About 4000 miles ago brakes were replaced new rotors
etc. Also shocks....so this leaves the center link or are the rotors warped or a caliper hanging up ? At high speed with brake applied wobble diminishes. Anybody have similar problems?
