Yes, it's the same engine. If it's not the same year as your 535i, there may be minor differences such as a sensor on the thermostat housing in which case you can swap from your old one. Other than that, they should be virtually identical.

Can I put an E32 M30 / B35 engine into an E34 (535i) My car was manufactured in 1989.

Any advice welcome
