It's an easy repair, Bentley does an good job with the diagnosis but skips the details on getting to it. At the rate my repair page is growing, I'll have it filled out from A to Z before it's time to retire the 735i.

OT: My friend is going through with the purchase of the '96 Jag (flamage expected) XJ6. It's a nice car but the seller got flakey with the extended warrantee & raised the 3 year 36k mile bumper to bumper from $1500 to $3800 so he decided to throw caution to the wind & buy it without. Guess I'll have to start a new repair site ;=)

Better him than me, the Jag is nice but all-in-all I like the e32 better, it has such a nice mechanical whir to the engine when I get on it & much more fun to toss around in the turns but the smoothness of a Jag (when it's running) on the highway is sure hard to compete with, love that speed sensitive rack & pinion steering. Maybe when I'm old & grey & take up a pipe . . .
