my cassette deck gave up. Do I need to get same unit to have the CD changer work or can I upgrade to aftermarket ones with factory CD changer?

i have a blaupunkt berlin iqr 88 from my 750 if you want you can up grade i have clairion in car with tv sat nav video play station and a rear screen on my 1989 750il so there is no problrm using a nother system my berlin is for sale 75 uk pounds thanks colin
