I would rather check if a smaller diameter pulley for the fan is available and install a viscous clutch engaging at 72°C instead of 92°C?. At least for the M70 engine these items are available and used for AUS and Japan. This would lead to better cooling capability but not lower the engine temp with possible negative effects. The M30 has a 80°C thermostat compared to the 92°C on the M70 already. The smaller pulley on the M70 will increase the RPM on the fan (to some extend due to slip) and the waterpump by about 12%.
