I made it back home without the molding flying off...and lo and behold...I have a tube of RTV silicone in my toolbox. So I'm off to do a little squeeze and tape job on the moulding. I really appreciate the replies! I'm glad that when the moulding decided to pop it did not go flying off like in some of the other stories.

Lou...I guess I didn't type in the "magic" word in the archives search. That was the first place I looked...I typed in "windshield" and "moulding" (plus a combination of the 2) and all I got back was a post that was asking what to do because their moulding had flown off while they were driving. The search didn't even turn up a reply to his question...so that's why I came back to the board. But again...yours, Gale, and Bryans replies where appreciated. 8-)
