88 735i Low Beam and Drivers Window Frustrations! (archive)

Checked the fuses, bulbs, connections and can't get the
low beems to work. High beems are o.k.. Any suggestions?

Also, the switch for the Drivers window generates noise
from the moter, but it isn't working in either direction.
I took the door panel off to see if the window was off a
track or something, but I wasn't so lucky.

Any help from you folks is appreciated, and I hope I can
do the same some day.
