I can only drive max. 40 mph with my 1989 750 il
What is the problem????

Ekkehart is probably right on. Last week I dropped the alternator in my 750 and then you really get to see warning lights and symptoms (EML, ABS, Transmission Program and of course Kaput).

Bear

sorry , but there are no warning lights, the car drives perfect up to 2,500 rpm.
Only the cruise control isn,t working anny more.
It accelerates very slow, at a fuel consumtion of max. 20 l/100km.
So the air valve doesn,t open enough .
