It is your hydraulic brake booster that is leaking. The booster is not that diffilcult to replace. Basically, you must remove the hydraulic lines to the brake master cylinder and booster. Remove the pin at the brake pedal/booster rod. Unbolt the booster from inside the car. Unbolt the hydraulic fluid reservoir and push slightly aside. Then remove the master cylinder and booster as an assembly (you can seperate the two first if you wish). This is a quickie guide, but you should get the idea. Make sure you carefully re-adjust the brake pedal hieght and the brake light and cruse control switches after you are done. If you skip this step, you may end up with brake lights that do not go off and an inopperable cruise control.

I've been chasing around under my car to find were all the fluid has been leaking from (multiply leaks )cured one engine oil leak around oil cooler conector.
There is a lot of fluid (dampness) around under hydrolic container around the hose clamps etc ,but i just found the major source for the leak , coming from under the brake master cylinder out of a small hole between two flanges .When i get my wife to pump the brake pedal ,fuild gets pumped out.
Is this an easy fix or does it require a mecanic and lots of money .
ps . i have always had to push the brake pedal quite hard to pull up ,is this so just because of the weight of the car.
Excellent message board ,keep it up..
