I have a 1989 525i. I have had a major problem with the guage cluster in my car. Sometimes they will work, but most of the time they don't. Driving along hard acceleration sometimes makes them come on, but stepping on the brake pedal makes them go off again. I don't mean just the lights either. All the guages with the exception of the speedo...peg. The digital display dies out and the guages are pretty much useless, the door chime even goes off and doesn't shut off (it's on long continous tone for as long as the car is running) until they feel like coming back on again. I would appreciate any help I could get with the issue.
