Not to say that it's legal....

I was using 100W bulbs in my car for a long time without a problem. I highly recommend you buy only high quality German made bulbs. I tried bulbs from Korea (no offense to Koreans intended) and they will get the wires really hot. I even had my Mercedes' headlight housing partially melt. Never a problem with the German bulbs though.

This is a personal oppinion.... I changed out all my 100W bulbs with 50W PIAA SuperWhites because I liked them better. There's controversy that the "whiteness" may or may not be better.

hey guys. i need a bulb upgrade...i saw this PHilips Rallye bulb (HB4=9006, right?) that's listed as 12V 70W. I was wondering if i can put it on my '88 735i US model without any problems. (the stock lights are 9006, 55W, right?)

here's the link to the site.

Thanks for the help.
