The air condioning on my '89 735IL just stopped working. I looked in the window on the a/c line and could see no refrigerant so I thought I needed a can of R-12. I went to the local auto store and was told the no longer can sell R-12 and the only a few stores do now for about $50.00 a can! They recomended I buy a R-134 retrofit charging kit that will switch you from R12 to 134. The kit had all the 134 adapters for the service heads, oil charge and a couple of cans of 134 plus the hose for the cans. The kit is about $50.00 and made by Interdynamics, INC. (model #RKR-5) I would like to know if any one has used this kit or one like it and is it ok in the long run.
Thanks, Dave
