Yes, the arm rests are still usable... to a point. If you have a big cup in the middle, it will get in the way. I believe the top of a 12ounce can will be right at the level of the arm rest 1 click up from the lowest setting. There's no interference if you install a cassette tape holder.

Do you know if I would still have full use of the armrests if I get a double cup holder (looks like it would be a tight fit)? I have the same problem with holes left from phone removal.
