Listed by importance(my opinion, anyway)
1)Check fan clutch, if its getting that hot 3/4 or more, it;s not pulling any air through the radiator (best way to check, if it cools down at high speeds 35mph or higher and if it heats up at low speeds, then 95% sure it's the fab clutch)

2)Check for a coolant leak (look for low coolant level--I really don't think this is your problem, though), normally at the radiator tank tank or a hose somewhere, this can cause overheating but will not be as consistent as a bad fan clutch. And a lot harder to find, check upon first start up and wait until operating temperatures.
3)possible thermostat, you'd overheat continously no matter what. If thermostat is stuck have someone rev engine up to 3-5K and see if lower hose collapses.Usually a pretty good indicator of a bad thermostat.
Hope this helps...

My newly purchased 750 is running in the 3/4 range on the guage, sometimes quite close to the red. Is this normal?
Also, it has a 200lb coolant cap. Coluld this be causing the problems?
There's no heat coming from the heater either, just cold to warm air.
Cheers
Steve
