So I turned on the heat for the first time this season and guess what??? Smells like coolant and fogs up the windshield. I assume this means that the heater core has gone south. Has anyone tackled this job? I really don't want to take the entire dash out of the car. It seems on the "homeofsbc.com" site there is a way to replace it (under "Quick 1" and "Quick 2") without removing the dash. Also, any ideas on costs, etc.? Or am I wrong? I'd hate to dismantle the thing and then find out that its not the core after all. Many thanks.
