passenger side heat in 88 735i (archive)

On the passenger side climate control, the air coming from the center dash vent is cold (cool) when the temp is turned up but the air is warm from the floor vent. The drivers side works fine. Any ideas? (I just bought this car yesterday) also, when I test drove this car, everything seemed fine but after I picked it up, the SRS light now blinks and stays on.
