The shocks really have nothing to do with the way the car sits. They just keep it from bouncing too much. I'm pretty sure your rear springs need replacing. I haven't checked thoroughly but stock rear springs are around $200 and you can get a set of springs to lower the car all the way around for about $250. I figure the new rear springs in the lowering kit would probably set the rear up a bit higher than it sits now.

Tom 735i

I just got new front and rear shocks an my 90 735i.
The front is just fine but the rear "still" sags. It looks like it should sit about 1.5 inches higher than how it sits now. I don't want to lower the front - but i want the car to sit level.

This has to be a common problem - any suggestions??
