Wiring new radio on 88 with fade switch (archive)

I need help wiring a new radio into an 88 735iL with the fader switch to the left of the radio. I have the bentley manual, but I do not understand the fader switch connections and want to disconnect it. I bought a C33 BMW head unit which I thought (hoped) would connect directly, but it does so only on 91 and newer models. I plan to buy a pin adapter with wires to wire it in, but I need help. I know many of you have put aftermarket stereos in using the stock amplifier which is what I want to do. Can anyone guide me in the installation? It should be the same as putting any aftermarket stereo in. I need to know where to connect into the front and rear speaker wires to the radio and keep the amplifier working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Otis
