In Reply to: Heater Valve Replacement Part - $80 each? posted by Troy on October 08, 2001 at 19:41:17:

info about the heater valves. You need to buy 2 valves for the e32. Click on the "search archives" link then type "heater valve" in the search box. You will come up with lots of info. Here's one I found. I also have seen mono heater valves for e28/e34/e32 on eBay go for $20-$30 per valve.

91 735iL

Just bought a heater valve replacement part - not a new entire assembly - from BMW of Arlington (VA). They charged me $80 - WITH my BMWCCA discount, and I opened the box and there is only 1 replacement part.

Did they:
a) screw me on the part price
b) forget the second piece (I believe that there should be 2 to do this repair)
c) give me the wrong part
d) all of the above.

I've heard others on this board say that they paid $60 for both valve replacement parts. $80 for one seems steep (but this stealer always charges big bucks).

Thanks in advance,
