Pardon my ignorance since I still haven't opened up christine's engine but do OHC engines also have connecting rods? Or did you mean the hydraulic valve adjustment mechanism?

About the "no compression" issue, if the valves are stuck to partially open position you'd likely not get any compression so you're looking at (at least) a head job (hmm I like the sound of that) err I mean cylinder head rebuild.

Might wanna do them both while you're at it and keep your beast running smoothly for a long long time.


connecting rods? Aren't those the "pushrods" in the antique American V8 engines that use the crankshaft to operate the valves?
