Every few years we go up to North Dakota for the holidays & I always put a can of de-icer in the trunk. What good is it in there if I can't open the trunk to get to it?

Several of us board members have been engaged in discussions about remotes and the central locking system. Some were unaware of the ability to close the windows and sunroof with the key or remote...well since winter weather will be upon some of us real soon (ice, snow and freezing rain, yuk!)...some may not know that by raising up on the drivers door handle (only) and holding it up for 5 seconds...engages the door lock's heater for 40 seconds (hopefully thawing it enough to insert your key and/or disengage the lock...if using your remote). After 40 seconds it can be activated again by holding up on the handle (hold for 5 seconds) if the lock is still frozen. This feature can be used up to 3 times in 40 minutes. Thought you might want to know.
