OK, I tried holding down the buttons on the remote to achieve window roll up with no success. I also checked the owner's manual for the car which refered me to the owner's manual for the security system. Neither one of these manuals had information on closing the windows with the remote. Perhaps the feature was removed from the '94 740il series for some reason. As I posted before, the feature works with the key sequence, but not with the remote. I even checked the remote control dip switches to see if perhaps one of those controls the feature, but no luck. Has anyone been able to get the feature to work with a '94 740il and a 3 button remote?

Reab, I'm not that familiar with the remotes that use a "chip", but have you tried holding down the buttons (how many does your remote have, 2 or 3) until the windows and/or sunroof closes? ( I don't think any of the remotes open the windows... just closes them) If you have an owners manual...the procedure should be in the book...post back and let us know if you find out anything.

With regards to the window roll up function, I have a US '94 740il and the windows will roll up using the key procedure. However, they do not seem to roll up with the remote. Could the remote roll up function be disabled somehow? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

And if you have the switchblade remote...you can do the same thing by holding the "lock" button on the remote until all the windows and sunroof close.

Q

cool! so that's why I got my windows to close once before and not another time. I didn't realize I held the double lock longer one time than another.

I'm still learning about these cars... I'm a 1 month old e32 owner

Thanks
