As my car died, the ABS light stayed ON. The speed sensative steering started to feel funny. But then everything died. Instead of replacing the whole alternattor, I installed a voltage regulator. The voltage regulator comes complete with brushes and costs about $21 form Zygmunt. I have also found that the connector located about 3" to the left of the O2 connector cna become intermittent and cause a similar symptom. The connector that I described can also be the cause for the " Oil Level Sensor " message. To verify that the Alternator is the problem. Jump the battery and restart the car. Measure the voltage across the battery with the OBC or a Portable Volt Meter. The voltage of a running engine with an acceptable alternator should be between 13.2 volts ( fully charged battery with all the lights ON ) to 13.7 volts ( Bad Battery with no other load ).

Good Luck
