Comptuer Replacement???!!! (archive)

Has anyone ever replaced their computer before? I had some minor work done earlier and shortly thereafter I was down to running on six cylinders as opposed to 12. I took it to another mechanic I knew and he said he reconnected all the vital connections, but it was all to no avail. Does anyone know the price of a computer replacement job? Or what it entails for that matter? Any help/guidance/information would be greatly appreciated.
