I've got an e30 as well...(325is actually) the e32 doesn't compare to their sportiness at all, but I am in a phase where I'm driving the e32 almost exclusively because of the ride quality. I love my 88 735i with a 5 speed manual, and I'd have to say that they are the 325is of the e32 models because of the 5 speed tranny. The car's not a rocket, but it's decently fast, handles totally awesome and is super fun because of the 5 speed. I'm a 5 speed nut though... I'll not drive an automatic, infact my e30 was an automatic when I bought it and I converted it to a 5 speed.

Well i already have an 88' 325i cabrio, but i was thinking about adding an E32 to the family.
My uncle has a 88' 735 and it's pretty nice (got me thinkn')
It would be nice to have comfortable lux for a change. Don't get me wrong i love my ic and i';m keeping her, this would just be an addition.
My questions are which one to get 735,740,750-I,IL, year etc...and what's the difference between them?
I know there's one with the V12, but i don't think i want that one due to the high cost maintanence.

Any help would be great on years and models.
for instance i can tell you the difference between the e30's and i prefer the 325IS, so what's the 325IS of the E32's?

Thanks for all your input!
G
