How far above halfway is it? Mine will settle down at about 1/2 a needle above normal and doesn't normally go any higher. If it's going up to just short 3/4 I would definitely suspect the viscous fan clutch; mine was intermittent and when it failed to cut in this was where the temp would get to at idle. I beleive the aux fan cuts in at about this point which would explain why it didn't go higher.

My car has the replacement alusil engine but the temperature reads above halfway. I've tried changing the thermostat from a 95 degree to an 85 degree version which had no affect at all. This indicates to me that the EPROM has been changed as referred to on the KOALA Motorsport Web page.

Does anyone know where the EPROM is and how do I indentify if its the original or replacement version?

Also how do I test the viscous fan as this may also be part of the problem?

Thanks in advance.
