NKG is since 1-2 years sole source for spark plugs for BMW. But I would be very surprised if BMW recommends anything they IMHO do not use in production. Check archive for the type of NGK 4-electrode plugs BMW recommends for almost all 4-14 cylinder engines. Ekkehart

I have one question: why are so many people experimenting with plugs? Most people don't have the equipment (test stand with brake) nor the knowledge to select a plug different from the manufacturers (car) recommendation. For me a piston with a whole due to a wrong plug woud be a major headache.
