$150 for that!!?????!!!
Automotive adhesive (rather than simple silicon) is pretty strong stuff and I've used it to hold things down like you're talking about without fail. Sufficient quantity coupled with 3M blue painters tape and at least an over night cure and it should be fine.
Was the piece lost flopping around before it departed?

While driving home on freeway yesterday, the winshield trim on drivers side suddenly blew off and was promptly ran over by a truck. Went to stealer today and purchased a new trim piece($150). Now I have discovered that the little plastic pieces that the trim snaps into have broken tabs(all but two) It appears that I must remove the glass and replace the plastic clips! Has anyone used silicon to hold trim on? I am thinking of a spot of silicon on each plastic holder, put trim in place and tape down for 24 hours.
Any ideas?
Thanks
